Educational Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Halle-Dessau
The Educational Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Halle-Dessau (“IHK BIZ Halle-Dessau”) aims to internationalize its professional education and to increase its contacts to foreign countries. Through this, it is able to incorporate the local experience in its own educational work.
These train-the-trainer programs for foreign vocational educators are important, as the German industry is export-oriented. The professional education is especially interesting for German companies active in China as program participants are trained on German products. This makes them very attractive for German companies and sales partners in China who preferably employ these trainees. Through this, the IHK BIZ Halle-Dessau is also supporting the German export products.
DCG is organizing the non-academic part and works very closely with the German and international partners and is present regularly at the local partner institutions.
International partners
The Colleges that build test centres for the professional education and examination in accordance with German standards are light towers abroad. They can attract many students, as this education is perceived as of higher quality. The German dual system of theoretical and practical aspects has a high recognition abroad. The examination is similar to the one in Germany and is carried out by German examiners together with foreign examiners who were trained and certified in Germany.
For the foreign trainers it is important to get to know the German dual system, the modes of education and the resulting skills and technical knowledge, especially to learn the way of teaching these skillsets.
Program participants are learning in accordance to German standards and receive a certificate that is similar (but not equal) by the German professional degree. The foreign degree is adapted to local needs and requirements. Institutions that can offer these degrees can attract local trainees and provide better chances for a successful entry into the job market.
