Knowing languages improves one’s chances to study or work abroad and to have better job opportunities. German is the most-spoken mother tongue in Europe. Germany is among the most popular study destinations worldwide thanks to its top-quality educational system and elite universities. Germany also offers attractive conditions in its world known dual vocational education system where apprentices learn while already being employed and earn a salary. Furthermore, the German employment market provides tremendous chances for career development, independently where people are young or already in later ages. To support these different groups of people, DCG has developed programmes to master German successfully. As a basic preparation students can learn German in a Blended Learning format with the DUO learning platform and our local partners. Furthermore, students can choose the High School Graduate Programme to intensify their German language level here in Germany.
The DCG study programme - Intensive, interactive, efficient
With the tailor-made study programme of DCG learners acquire the German language for everyday life, study and for specific professional purposes.
The students acquire the key competencies for either a vocational education, studies or working in Germany. We accompany them on the levels from A1 to B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Our intensive, fast-track DCG study programme provides students with:
This programme is designed for high school graduates who wish to study in a German-speaking Bachelor programme in Germany at our partner universities*. The programme is possible for those with and without prior knowledge in German. However, the time until readiness for studying varies depending on the prior knowledge of the German language. To be admitted to a German Bachelor programme, applicants must present a German language certificate which they either receive abroad or gain in Germany in the German Language Preparatory College (“GLPC” / “Landesstudienkolleg”) of Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
The advantage when studying in a German-speaking Bachelor programme: it free of charge despite the semester tuition fees and cost of living in Germany.
There are two routes to join the high school graduate program:

A state-of-the-art curriculum
developed with the partner universities
In collaboration with the partner university or partner language centre abroad, we design a course programme that meets the high standards of the German institution and maximizes the learners language competencies. Together we develop an individual, state-of-the-art curriculum of blended learning.
We also train the teachers the method of our unique DCG study programme.
Upon successful completion of the DCG study programme, students will have the following language competencies:
The key pillars of the
DCG teaching method
→ Classroom teaching
The book "Berliner Platz" is considered a successful book, especially for basic level courses. It is used for the classroom teaching. In German classes supposed for the German job market, textbooks from “telc” will be integrated.
→ E-learning platform
The multimedia e-learning platform “Deutsch-Uni Online” is offered by our partner - the Gesellschaft für Akademische Studienvorbereitung und Testentwicklung (g.a.s.t.) and was developed together with the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
→ Integration
DCG combines the teaching book and the e-learning platform into a blended learning programme. Therefore, we design Timetables, Learning Materials, Vocabulary and (free) multimedia Applications so that we can support the successful integration.
